The zombie villagers will not despawn; The zombie villagers will stay in the shade until night, as they are not immune to the sun; Most cobblestone blocks are replaced with mossy cobblestone;
Mobs in minecarts don't despawn. There are a few options here: name tag, giving the zombie something that it picks up, putting the zombie in a boat or a minecart, or (my personal favorite) zombifying a villager with which you’ve traded. Pretty sure you don’t have to trade with it.

It's not only mobs despawning at random that is the issue although I have witnessed it happen a few times on my worlds, but even when name tagged and in a well lit and protected enclosure, sometimes mobs, even Villagers and tamed Wolves etc, automatically despawn, and for no apparent or good reason.

Is there a roof on top of the zombie so it doesn't die? If there is then it's probably something else that kills it because it shouldn't be able to despawn. 2. Deepgeezer93. • 2 yr. ago. Repeatedly, my villagers are on a realm keep vanishing. Cured villagers, naturally spawned villagers, villagers from breeding. Two named villagers, too. They're provided beds, workstations, everything. I'm sick of my best villagers despawning. Cured, maxed clerics.

A named villager keeps its name when transformed into a zombie villager. A named zombie villager keeps its name when cured. Wandering traders still despawn even if they are named, or in a minecart or boat. A named wither's boss bar displays its name instead of "Wither". Naming an ender dragon with commands also displays the name in the boss bar.

You rename them using the anvil, and then apply to given mob. Once named, the mob will not despawn. Of course, hostile mobs will remain hostile, mortal and in case of some, like creepers, suicidal, but at least they don't despawn. Additionally, you get monster's name over their head. Witches that have been converted from villagers still count toward mob cap and also don’t despawn, but because zombie villagers remember their trades they don’t count toward mob cap. So in 1.16 you have to convert the villagers to witches for a mob switch. You have it the wrong way around. Certain ocean ruins will have drowned patrolling nearby, they will never despawn unless the world is set to peaceful. Finally, a normal zombie can be converted into a drowned if the zombie’s head stays underwater for longer than 30 seconds.

It won't stop mobs from spawning but the second they spawn they will die. You first give yourself a command block. Then, type this command: /kill @e [type=zombie] This example will kill zombies. Setting it with commands might not actually do anything. Do realms have a config somewhere (maybe on Villagers won't wear mob heads either. To recreate bug: Place a dispenser next to a villager or zombie, put a mob head or helmet in it, and fire it. Expected behavior: the villager or zombie will be wearing the item. Actual result: The dispenser misfires or throws the item on the ground. i dont remember clearly what i typed, but i named the wandering trader, give it a nametag, and then use a command block nearby to constantly set its DespawnDelay to 500, so that it will never reach 0 and despawn.

Nope, villagers doesnt despawn unless you walk away as they are converting to a zombie, then it happens that they despawn. They will not be able to breed and make more villagers as the rule is: Amount of villagers + 1 beds to make a baby. oliv_iaxm. OP • 5 mo. ago.

There are no safe places in Minecraft. You will encounter many mobs, zombies, enemies, and deadly monsters throughout the game. Because of the cramped conditions or the location where they are all together, villagers despawn in Minecraft again and again. This isn’t despawning at all. Minecraft doesn’t despawn villagers; it’s a glitch.
