Jibby is right. That basically takes away the gore and gibs. I don't know how to remove blood entirely, but there is a mod on the workshop named Kaiju Blue Blood that turns all gore blue. Low Violence Launch Option exists for a reason.
Ok, using the uninstall in steam I try to remove l4d2 because I have been experiencing some unhappy bugs with the game. So it uninstalls then I try to reinstall it and it does it in less than a second because it never removed any of the files to begin with.
